Dans la pratique bouddhiste, le bol chantant accompagne la méditation et la prière. Contrairement à une cloche suspendue, il repose sur sa base : ce sont ses parois et son bord qui vibrent pour produire ce son si particulier, profond et enveloppant.
Ce très grand modèle est fabriqué à la main par des moines tibétains exilés en Inde.
Utilisation : frappez doucement le bord pour un son clair, ou faites glisser le bâtonnet le long du bord en cercles réguliers pour faire « chanter » le bol.
Chaque pièce étant faite à la main, les dimensions peuvent légèrement varier.
